Processing Dialog
- You can only adjust the balance on an invoice whose payment is still due. From "A/R Main Menu", locate the option to "Work With Receivables".
An example of the "Work With Receivables" panel appears below:
Work With Receivables
- Choose option "Adjust Invoice", place it beside the invoice, and press <Enter>. The following window appears.
Invoice Adjustment Entry
Any adjustments , whether special or normal, associated with the invoice can be processed. Key in the necessary adjustment . If you are attempting to decrease the invoice, type in the amount of the adjustment followed by the minus sign and hit <Field Exit>. If you are increasing the invoice, type in the amount and hit <Field Exit>. Type in an explanation of the adjustment and press <Enter> to register the adjustment . You will be returned to the Work With Receivables panel.
To examine all the adjustments that have been made to a particular invoice, choose option "Adj Inquiry", place it beside the invoice, and press <Enter>. As shown below, the original amount of the invoice is displayed at the top of the panel, the detail of the Adjustment is displayed in the center and the adjusted invoice amount is displayed at the bottom.

To see the description of the Adjustment, press "Expand". An example is depicted below:

Press <F21> to print the detail as shown or <F12> to return to the Work With Receivables panel.
