Work With Movement Queue Numerous search criteria are supported on the top of the panel.

  • Placing the cursor on an entry line and pressing the < - F1 - > key provides a definition of that filter.
  • At the very top of the panel the - Storer Number - and - Suffix - can be entered.  These default from the existing equipment operator record if it can be found.  Generally, you will be working only with one storer, however the move queue supports multiple accounts.
  • Building - indicates the building where the move is executed.
  • Key another - Storer - and - Suffix - to review the scheduled moves for another account.
  • Quickly locate moves of a given priority by using the - Priority - filter.
  • The - Document - is used to identify all the moves associated with a given order.  By keying the bill of lading number here, only the moves for that bill appear.
  • The Type filter can be used to locate the moves for a particular move type.  The current move types are - PK - -pick, - RP - -replenishment, - CC - -cycle count, - SM - -Scheduled Floor move.
  • The - Item Code - is used to isolate moves scheduled for a given item code.
  • The - From/To - locations are used to isolate moves based upon their pickup or drop off points.

  • The current Status filter values are:
    • AC - - active
    • AS - - assigned
    • PR - - problem
    • CP - - complete

The selection criteria across the top act as filters.  The moves are always displayed in priority sequence with the highest priority move shown first.  All filters can be used in combination.  Once the criteria are keyed, press the < Enter > key.  Only those moves meeting the criteria keyed are displayed on the screen.

  • At the far left of each line there is a field for entering option codes next to the appropriate Item.
  • Options are functions that may be performed against a particular Item if the status allows.
    • If more option codes are available, use < - F23 - > to scroll through any additional option codes.

Within the body of the panel is a list of moves.

  • The - Priority - ( - Pr - ) of each individual move appears first.  Priorities are assigned from 01 - 99.  The highest priority (lowest number) appears at the top of the queue and is assigned to an equipment operator first.  Priorities were initially set when the queue entry was created.

  • Next, the - Item - and item - Description - are displayed.

  • The next column shows the move - Quantity. - The quantity is first shown in a formula consisting of pallets, layers, and remaining inventory units.  The quantity is then shown in parentheses in terms of actual quantity of inventory units.

  • Following the Quantity is the - Inventory Bucket (I) - .  This is the inventory bucket for the stock associated with the move. The choices are - A - -available - H - -held, - D - -damaged, - 1,2,3,4 - -user assigned buckets.

  • The last two columns show the - From - and - To - move locations.  The locations are shown in a standard format consisting of the building aisle and the slot.

This expanded view shows most of the available information concerning each move.

  • On the first additional line appears the - Source - document number and the - Type - of move.  In the case of both the moves shown on the example panel, these moves are picks originating from bill of lading number 247.  The first came from line one of the bills, and the second from line two.

  • Also, on the first additional line are the - Lot - codes.  These appear with each lot separated by an ' - | - ' or vertical bar when a two- or three-part lot code is used.  If the item is non-lotted, this appears blank.

  • The second additional line contains the - Entered - date and time this move was originally loaded onto the queue.  This would be the date and time that the < - Enter - > key was pressed on either the "Load An Order onto The Move Queue" panel or the "Pick Line Replenishment" panel.

  • Following the entered date and time is the - Transaction Number - .  This is a unique number assigned to the move when it was placed onto the queue. This number is typically only used for support purposes.

  • The third line of additional information shows the - Assigned - date and time.  This information is only presented if the move has been assigned to an equipment operator.  Typically, this means that the move is in process.

  • Immediately following this information is the user profile name of the - Operator - assigned.

  • The - Status Code - is displayed last.

    • When a move is loaded onto the queue it is assigned an ' - AC - ' status for active.
    • Other status codes that are used are ' - PR - ', when a problem is encountered on a move.
    • ' - AS - ' is used when the move has been assigned to an operator.
  • When the move has completed, the move record is removed from the move queue and written to the movement history.

    • Selecting the - <F7> - key displays a summary of the Move Queue by move type.  When pressed, the open activity is summarized for presentation.  The <F7> function respects any search criteria to filter the open activity resulting in counts for just those that match the selection criteria.  The following depicts the panel that displays.
